The junior minion asked to try my guitar. She’s had ukulele lesson. Once we figured out about where she should be on the frets she was instantly better than me....and that’s ok.

We tried everything with our kids - school band, piano lessons, and guitar. While they both dutifully completed two years of band , neither had any interest in continuing once they got to high school . That was a hard thing for two band-geek parents to accept.

Nice pic. That guitar is bigger than she is. As a reasonably capable musician I dearly hope I can aspire to this sort of thing when mini-me gets to the right age.

We are still letting them play around. I’m hoping my son will continue with tuba through school. There are good scholarship opportunities if he does.
The daughter just likes playing when she gets in the mood.
